Keep an eye on your laptop’s battery charge level

Juice! can help you get the most out of your MacBook’s battery. You may have noticed that leaving your laptop plugged in all the time can shorten its battery life. To keep it healthy, it’s recommended to fully discharge the battery about once a month and to maintain a charge level between 20% and 80% the rest of the time.

Use Juice! to keep an eye on your MacBook’s battery charge level. It can let you know when it’s time to plug in or when it’s OK to disconnect from the mains. Set it to warn you when you’re running low on battery or when the power supply to your laptop is interrupted.

Your Mac will speak up when it’s thirsty

You can set Juice! to give you a verbal heads up when the battery charge drops below a level of your choosing, or when it’s reached a level at which you’d like to unplug. Juice! will say:

  • “Power has been cut” when you unplug your Mac or power is switched off at the mains.
  • “Battery charging” if you plug your Mac in or power is restored at the mains after an interruption.
  • “Please charge me” whenever the battery charge drops below a level you specify with a percentage slider.
  • “You can unplug now” when the battery charge passes a level you specify with a percentage slider.

Just what I was searching for

I wanted an audio alert system to warn me of battery depletion on my Macbook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015; OS 10.14.6). The Macbook puts a discreet and silent notification in the upper righthand corner of the screen, which I have missed a million times and then the laptop just shuts off while your working. – Not cool. Juice! has a nice sounding female voice alert (in English language) that lets you know if your battery is getting low or if your power cable has disconnected. -Works perfectly.

Thank Heavens

I couldn’t believe how unnoticable the stock low battery warning is on my new macbook. My last laptop was a PC and it had warning symbols and sounds that showed up in front of whatever program I used. When I started using my Macbook pro, you can’t even see the battery bar in some apps so I was having unexpected shutdowns in the middle of image processing and losng files. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
