We rely on a third party framework to handle automatic updates. There is an issue with this in some recent versions that can cause problems with extracting the downloaded archive during the update process.
If you find the automatic software update keeps failing, you may need to manually download the latest version here:

To install, open the downloaded DMG and drag the TypeIt4Me app to your Applications folder, overwriting the previous version, then eject / unmount the DMG.
