FAQ: Is TypeIt4Me 7.0 a free upgrade for existing users?
No, it’s not. TypeIt4Me 7.0 is a major version update that will retail for a flat, one-time fee of $29.99 (USD) from May 1st, 2025. It’s available exclusively on the Mac App Store and Apple does not provide us with an official mechanism for offering upgrade or cross-grade pricing.
However, we are happy to issue a full refund for any TypeIt4Me licence purchased from us via Fastspring in the 3 months leading up to TypeIt4Me 7’s release. That is, between January 18th and April 18th, 2025. To take us up on this offer:
- First, contact us to confirm we have a record of you having bought a licence within the eligible timeframe.
- Reply to our confirmation email attaching a receipt from Apple that shows you have purchased the new TypeIt4Me 7 from the Mac App Store.
Until the end of April 2025, TypeIt4Me 7 can be purchased for a special reduced launch price of $9.99 (USD) / £9.99 / 9,99€.
If you purchased the now withdrawn older TypeIt4Me version from Apple’s Mac App Store between January 18th and April 18th, 2025, we would like to help you, too. Apple won’t tell us who you are or provide us with a means to issue refunds, unfortunately. But if you get in touch with us before purchasing version 7, we’ll do our best to work something out and propose a means of compensating you, so you won’t be left out of pocket.
