System requirements for TypeIt4Me

FAQ: Is my Mac able to run TypeIt4Me 7?

Unless your Mac is more than 10 years old, it’s likely your computer meets the minimum TypeIt4Me system requirements. The latest version of TypeIt4Me requires a Mac running at least macOS 12.4 (Monterey) or newer. It’s optimised for the most recent macOS version, 15 (Sequoia). Both Intel and Apple Silicon M-series processors are supported.

Sequoia (15), Sonoma (14), Ventura (13) and Monterey (12) are all available to download from the Mac App Store. Apple gives them away for free, you don’t need to pay for them. If you’re still soldiering on with an older OS but your Mac qualifies to run at least Monterey, we strongly recommend that you consider upgrading to the newest operating system your Mac can support. Not only will this enable you to run the latest TypeIt4Me, you’ll also be able to take advantage of the many user interface refinements, new functionalities and security improvements on offer.

If your Mac is already running Monterey 12.4 or, better still, a more recent version of macOS, you can download the latest version of TypeIt4Me on the Mac App Store.

It’s easy to check what model your computer is, what year it was released and the version of macOS it’s running. Click on the  menu in the top left corner of your screen and select “About this Mac.” Apple notes that macOS Monterey runs on the following Mac categories:
