Get 35% off TypeIt4Me 7 in our anniversary flash sale

Hello. We’re back again already, with fresh news. Don’t worry, this won’t take long. It’s just a quickie to let you know that TypeIt4Me 7 is now on sale at 35% off for one week only.

What’s the occasion? Glad you asked. It’s been a whole year since TypeIt4Me was officially reborn, so we’re celebrating with a 7-day flash bargain. Those of you who haven’t already scooped it up can grab TypeIt4Me 7 for the special anniversary price of $12.99(USD.)

You’ll need to act fast: this offer expires on Friday 24th April. Feel free to spread the word. Give your family and friends a chance to board the inexpensive text expansion hype train. In fact, why not tip your frenemies off, too? They may return the favour some day and refuse to fight you for the imperator’s amusement when an ironic twist of fate pits you against each other in a post-apocalyptic thunderdome scenario. You never know.

The original text expander for Mac. Even more affordable for a limited time.

As a reminder: April 18th of last year saw the release of an all new TypeIt4Me – version 7 – completely rebuilt from scratch in Swift, with a speedy new engine optimised for modern macOS systems and Apple Silicon. The effort nearly unalived us both, but we got there in the end and made it available exclusively on Apple’s Mac App Store.

TypeIt4Me 7 is fully sandboxed, can be used entirely offline for maximum privacy and is optimised for macOS 26 Tahoe. It will run on macOS Monterey 12.4 or newer systems. Read more about it here  or grab it from the Mac App Store before the price goes back up. Forgive us for stressing this tight deadline but you only have until Friday 24th April 2026 to make it yours for the special low price of £12.99 / 14,99€ / $12.99.

Remember, that’s a one-time purchase that allows you to keep the version you bought forever. Updates to version 7.x.x will be free; there is no recurring subscription to pay.

…What else? What else?

Hmmm, are there any other developments we can share while we have your attention? Um, um, um. Oh! Last week we released a minor update to our MacBook battery monitoring app Juice! The old triangular icon has broken out of jail and morphed into a glassy rounded square to join the Tahoe Gang. We also gave the app a performance tuneup and fixed a troublesome bug that was sometimes causing notifications to fail. It works properly now. Can you believe that?

Update: TypeIt4Me 7 Flash Sale Extended to May 31st

Good morning / afternoon / evening! (delete as appropriate)

Those of you with a keen eye will have noticed that TypeIt4Me 7 is still available to purchase at the low price of £9.99 / 9,99€ / $9.99 (USD.) This despite our initial announcement indicating that the flash sale would end on May 1st. How come? The reason is Riccardo and I are a couple of soft touches, with all the business acumen of a bowl of gnocchi. There are many of you out there who were very distraught at having missed the deadline, so we’ve restarted the sale and extended it to the end of…

A TypeIt4Me 7.0.1 update is already on the way

Hey there!

First things first: THANK YOU and yes, Riccardo and I have seen your messages. We will endeavour to reply as soon as humanly possible. We’ve now reached the point of sleep deprivation at which the act of closing our eyes briefly results in a kaleidoscopic vortex of coloured lights not dissimilar to the stargate sequence from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

To our amazement, just a few days after release TypeIt4Me 7 is sitting prominently in the Apps We Love Right Now section of the Mac App Store.

Both of us are overjoyed and reeling from the enthusiastic response our latest offering has received. We hadn’t anticipated that TypeIt4Me 7 would immediately catapult straight to No.1 in the Mac App Store Productivity category. At the time of writing, it’s also at No.3 in the overall Paid Apps chart – just edging out Apple’s own Final Cut Pro.

Dad and I have a sheepish confession to make. After toiling in relative obscurity for the last few decades, the level of attention this has generated is not something we were fully prepared for.

To paraphrase the old saying, everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face with a Large Influx of expectant new customers. What feels like a near 100-fold increase in daily sales almost overnight means we’re receiving a higher volume of email than usual.

The cavalry is coming

As expected, a number of previously undiscovered glitches have come to light since release day. The good news is we have already fixed several of the bugs that have been reported to us in the last week. We submitted the first maintenance update to Apple a couple of days ago and once this new 7.0.1 build is approved (knock on wood) it will resolve a number of issues present in the initial release.
