Greetings and salutations, would-be customers. Should you wish to avail yourselves of a copy of TypeIt4Me for the outrageously modest price of $4.99 in US dollars, you have just 10 days left to do so. Our longest-running promotion is finally drawing to a close: the current 75% off TypeIt4Me special offer will expire at the end of this month. Any of you who may have been planning to purchase our flagship text expander app for the Mac would do well to take the plunge sooner rather than later, before the price goes back up to $19.99.
If you cast your minds back to the heady euphoria of 2012’s Olympic summer, you may remember that in a fit of exuberant generosity we slashed 75% off the regular price of TypeIt4Me for a limited time. Resulting in a price $4 lower than the cost of a regular $8.99 licence upgrade, this was a goodwill gesture designed to allow existing customers to transition to our new iCloud-enabled Mac App Store version without having to pay the full $19.99 again.
The temporary price drop has proved to be a very popular move and uptake of this special offer has been high. With TypeIt4Me having remained at the super low $4.99 price point for well over 9 months, it’s our considered assessment that customers have been afforded ample opportunity to take advantage of the offer. We feel now is an appropriate time to return to business as usual, so from June 1st, TypeIt4Me will once again cost $19.99 USD. We would urge you to grab it from the Mac App Store before then in order to save yourselves some wedge, get iCloud syncing and enjoy free 5.x updates. If you prefer, you can also still buy version 5.2.1 directly from us. It’s almost identical to the App Store version but does not include iCloud support.
Any crestfallen stragglers who may be reading this having arrived at the party too late to catch the special offer, don’t despair. We hope you’ll discover that even at full price TypeIt4Me still represents outstanding value for money, particularly in view of the fact that similarly full-featured text expansion apps currently on the market would set you back around $30-$35.
As ever, we’re very grateful for all the support and encouragement we’ve received and will continue in our efforts to bring you software that will make your lives easier. Many thanks -and stay tuned for future announcements and promotions.

Just received your email dated 5/21/13 offering v. 5.2.1 @$4.99.
I have been a very happy user of T4me and currently own 5.3.2! So how is it you are offering an older version?
No need to explain, just reassure me I have the right version and on we go.
Thanks,
Gerry
Hi Gerry,
Glad to hear you’re still happy with TypeIt4Me. If you are currently running 5.3.2 then you are indeed bang up to date, that is the most recent version. Thank you very much for purchasing it. Version 5.2.1 is still available for customers who might need it, for example people who are running pre-Lion versions of OS X and / or don’t require iCloud syncing of snippets between their Macs and iDevices. The email we sent out was just to let everyone know that the 75% off special offer was coming to an end.
Best,
Guy
I am still using Snow Leopard, the best OS X there is, and can therefore not make any use of this offer. Thanks anyway.
I have used TypeIt4Me for more years than I care to admit…there is NOTHING better available. This little utility has saved me countless hours of typing and literally hundreds of thousands of keystrokes. I won’t go in to the number of spelling errors it has saved me from. Anyone who is troubled by spending $4.99, $8.99 or even $19.99 has to be thinking with the wrong kind of mindset.
TypeIt4Me will save you time, save you embarrassment, and save you more than the cost of the software—regardless of price! I cannot live without it!
As a long time user of TypeIt4Me..I appreciate you letting me know of the update. Unfortunately I am operating on Mac 10.6.8 and your app (version 5.2) still works fine for me. Thanks for a great app!
Ettore…I’ve used TypeIt4Me most of the time I used Classic,
and am now up to 10.6.8. Not likely to go to 10.7 and actually
have no idea whether iCloud is relevant to me. Is there a write-up somewhere so I could understand the relationship of
your app to the Cloud?
Hi Chris
see this entry in our FAQ:

Truly a gem.
I’ve been using TypeIt4Me (actually called Mactylo in the French port) for well over 15 years. It’s simply fantastic. Every other sentence I type uses TypeIt4Me.
For example, I have 3 different job titles and work in two languages, so just there I have 6 different email signatures. Add to this my home address. Now I just have to type 4 letters (adrw, adrt, adrh, adrm, etc) to enter any of my 10 line addresses. I’ve even created shorcuts for street addresses so online forms are no much faster to fill.
I have over 1300 abbreviations and I keep adding to it, which is very simple: wherever you are, select the text you want an abbreviation for, press the appropriate key combination, and TypeIt4Me pops up, asking what shortcut you’d like to assign to the text you have selected. Voilà!
I love it!
Thanks Riccardo!
